A Small Prayer Request

Standard

I usually don’t post random stuff like this, but if you could pray for me and my family over the new few months it would be greatly appreciated! My wife and I are currently expecting our third child (due in June), and we’re in the process of trying to sell our house, find and buy another one, and go through the pregnancy/birth process…all within the next couple of months.

Basically, it’s going to be a bit stressful, and I don’t want to become spiritually, emotionally, and physically overwhelmed. My posts may become more sporadic within the next few weeks, but hopefully once the dust settles my blogging routine will return to normal. Thanks again for all the support!

  1. Hey Steve, you and your family are not the only ones going through that situation. Some friends of mine are expecting their second child any day now and they are moving into a new house in a few weeks.

At least it is not your first child, then you would be really dazed and confused! ;-) Keep your chin up!

Father I pray strength and grace over my brother and his family even now. Give them peace that will surpass their understanding as you order their steps during this time of transition. Remind them of your love and presence daily. Amen.

  3. Prayers for you and your family. It’s good to look at situations ahead of time, though, and acknowledge that these are areas that could drain you on the inside. (Referring to the spiritual and emotional aspect). I think that will help you to remind yourself to stay focused. This is an approach I have just started learning to use, in the last year. I’m finding that it helps my anxiety so much to go into situations with prayer to stay grounded to my faith so that I don’t begin to slip and start worrying and stressing over things I can’t change. I even started adding a reminder to pop up on my iPad to stop and pray at about 8:00 in the morning. Because I know it’s too easy for me to get wrapped up in the things that are coming up for the day and I need that reminder to stop before it gets too crazy and ask for guidance. I love that you asked for prayer. I think it’s great when we can reach out to our fellow Christians for prayer in ANY situation. God Bless!

Lord, I’d like to ask a blessing over this family in the coming months. Let your will be done for them and in them and through them. Unite their hearts. Give them passion for each other and the calling you’ve put on their lives. Bless this coming baby. Lord, let your will of LIFE be done for this baby- Life abundant and free! Father, bless them with your Spirit, close and comforting and leading and guiding on every side.
I have a verse I think is especially for your wife…
Isaiah 40:11 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

We will be praying for you. We went through the same thing a couple of years ago when we were expecting baby#2. Lot’s of stress! If there is ever anything we can do or pray for specifically let us know!
